Why BoroughLets exists
Our mission: fewer barriers, faster placements, and a clearer path to a settled home.
BoroughLets started in a council housing options team, watching how long it took to find one family one affordable home. The search ran site by site. Affordability was worked out by hand. Agents were chased by phone, and half of what was said never reached the record. Every week that took was another week a family spent in temporary accommodation.
BoroughLets is an all-in-one platform helping councils match households with private rented homes they can afford. It exists to help families move on from temporary accommodation, by bringing the search, the people and the process together.
How it is built
Alongside caseworkers, in a live service, with the governance written before a feature ships rather than after it. It is in pilot with a London borough now, under a full data protection impact assessment and an information sharing agreement, with independent academic oversight.
Where it works today
The search covers all 33 London boroughs. If you are a council outside London, talk to us about what coverage would mean for your area before you plan around it.
BoroughLets. Built for councils. Made for families.
Tell us about your caseload and we will show you the platform against your own borough's Local Housing Allowance rates. A first demo takes 30 minutes, online, with nothing to prepare.
